If he was ,then he met NCAA minimum quaifications and could have enrolled at most schools. USC gave him a chance to perform academically and he failed - so its bye bye. There are hundreds of minimum qualifiers across who were given a chance and have performed and stay eligible. There is no reason to give up on everyone. As you know 70% of UCLA athletes are special admists and don't meet the standards required for the regular students at UCLA. Obviooously, because those kids are athletes they are given a chance to perform academically depite not meeting the regular standards. I believe the majority of athletes at UCLA graduate, so it appears that it paid off for UCLA to give those athletes a chance to perform even though they did not have what it normally takes to get into UCLA
