BTW USC was convinced that when the NCAA left they were satisfied with the info given to them and re-stated that in their sanction paper. That all questions had been answered. They then went behind closed doors with Lake with set questions, and USC was not invited to that meeting to rebuff any that werent the truth. The NCAA made an excuse that Kings time was tough to get to cover the lack of invite.

Lake later went on TV and said USC was unaware of the Lake-Bush thing and the situation was kept under the table. Now if he said that publicly to the NCAA what was there in that which showed any knowldege on USCs part which was the thrust of the NCAA infractions?

It was a witch hunt from the beggining and you were simply one of the naive townsfolk who still believed in withces.
