project, they could be gone by 2015, when we would need them most. The bottom line is that we have enough talent on the OL go get through the 2014 season. The fact we didn't get Peat and Murphy gives us a better chance of attracting elite OL in the 2012 recruiting class. if we do sign elite OL in the next class, no matter how good they are they will be guaranteed to be at USC in 2015, when we will need them most.
I'm not saying that i wouldn't have wanted either one or both in peat and murphy. But the fact is without them we were still able to bring in 3 elite OL and a project with a lot of upside. It also allows us room to bring in more elite players next year. Had we gotten all that talent next year, we would have skipped on OL in 2013. Then we would have to be dependent on recruiting elite OL in 2014 at a lot of spots, and they most likely would have to start in their second year.
