you are missing the point. I said against most of the lines and offenses that SC will face. And btw, Stanford's Oline will be young and slow next season, won't it?  A kid that is 270 is often big enough to play inside and Williams is almost there already. Please think back to Cody. He was not one ounce over 250 as a true frosh and he went by that stiff from UCLA like he was glued to the ground. In fact, he went by everyone yet was bullied by relatively few.

And as far as only having four guys inside, one of them, Tavai, played at 260 or so last year and he more than held his own. It should also be noted that the linebackers at SC are now good enough to help out against the run.

Again, I am not denying more depth is needed. I am merely judging what SC already has.

One other little point. As for moving guys around, I seem to recall Miami making a living doing that and they had some of the all time best defenses, based much more on speed than brute size. MJD
