did not have a strong enough connection or love for USC to overcome his Dad. That's all I am saying. In the final analysis, USC simply had no shot at him, even if Ellis liked USC a lot. There was just not enough emotional cache with SC for him to flip his dad from the darker side. That's it in a nutshell. So we really never lost Ellis. Truth is we never had him.
