You're simply overreacting and whining

like a kid who gets a crap load of great gifts on christmas morning but doesn't get the two gifts he wanted the most. Recruiting is a crap shoot.Every year, even under PC we were always in position to have a class for the ages if everything fell into place with all the recruits who were giving USC serious consideration and were more than likely to choose USC. But we always lost two or three recruits down the stretch or were 50 50 with us and another program. I'm alot like you in that i tend to dwell on who we didn't get instead of who we actually get. But if you do that, then you are always going to be disappointed with your recruiting class. There is always a couple of players we don't get that we think we will.

But this year i am more realistic because I realize that most of the players we want and probably won't get were not as likely as other players we missed out on in the past. McCarthy was never going to happen. We just didn't know it. Shaq Thompson, not a prayer. Armstead is a freak incident that has nothing to do with the coaches. The only reason we are not getting the OL from Oregon is because he will be playing for his Dad. So lets get real about what are chances were with these players. Murphy is probably the only one where we were unable to sell USC over Stanford. But is there any shame in that especially when mom wants him to go to Stanford. Nope, I think we got most of what we had a truly legit shot of getting.

You really need to stop the whining and appreciate what we got. It is absolutely not a bad class. Sure it could have been better, but we did not really have a great shot with some of the players you mentioned that we missed out on.
