and idiots like Dr. Dolittle got their panties in a bunch. Of course you need top shelf talent - mostly 4 star talent with a few 5's. But with 85 scholarships there is plently of room for a select group of 3 stars who are carefully evaluated for their potential and their character and work ethic. These are the kinds of players that make your special teams special and in their 5th year are able to fill in more than adequately at a position where you might be forced to start a 4 star freshman. It's a good mix to have with mostly 4 stars. You don't need a team if 5 star primadonnas.

As long as you can recruit mostly 4 starts that fit your scheme and they are well coached, then you can contend for an NC.
