Jim Harbaugh most reminds me of....

By: GaryD

..his brother John Harbaugh in looks and coaching style except John is not a dipstick.

Think about it...Baltimore is a good team with a decent not memorable QB in Flacco (e.g. Smith). He play a defense minded game that is steady but an offense that is boring. His record is a good 44-20 but is only 5-4 in the playoffs.

Jim was 29-21 at Stanford (.580) overall, 21-15 in confernce (.583). He was 1-1 in bowl games. thats his legacy...1 great season, 2 bad ones and 1 average one (8-5 ending in a Sun bowl loss). Lots of college coaches with that record.

At SF he wasnt faced with a monumental rebuild...the teams were .500 or below .500 but 21-27 the 3 prior years but finished 2nd, 2nd and 3rd in a weak division. The niners had a very good year at 13-3 this year and a so so payoff at 1-1 barely topping off the NO Sants and losing to the #6 seed Giants.

Jims NFL history is yet to be determined except to premature 'especulation' types like many who idolize him beyond his accomoplishments so far. Lets face it... all but one team in the playoffs loses eventually...Jims team however did it in their second game.

BTW John Harbugh plays in the tougher division and did have a 5 and a 7 loss season among his 4.

Jim Harblow blew it...you guys were wrong.  "Scoreboard" and all that stuff you guys are fond of quoting...Again I say its nice to trump many on this board....again.
