I assume you've read the Grand Jury report. Sandusky is the sex offender in this deal--we all get that. JoePa knew what JS was doing--good luck convincing anyone that he didn't, since it's part of the public record. Legally, Joe's obligation (after hearing the McQueary incident) 'may' have been met by contacting his school president. But doing the bare minimum isn't really the standard for a leader of men IMHO. It's not what I would do. Legal obligation should not be the standard. It should be the baseline.

Sandusky was his close friend. Calling the cops would shine a poor light on the program because of Sandusky's involvement. Scandal at a time when his usefulness to the program was being questioned by boosters and admins would put a noose around his neck. And that's where he failed--when he placed the program above doing what was right. And that's just the McQueary deal.

If you don't think JoePa--de facto ruler of State College, PA--heard from cops during the first investigation of Sandusky (years before McQueary pussed out in the showers), then I don't know what to say. You're not dealing in the real world.
