RIP

I agree with Actus. Today is a day to remember Jo Pa's accomplishments.  We don't know all the facts about Paterno's culpability.  I cut him a little slack because he was an old man.  It was probably a little hard to imagine that a perv like Sandusky would spend so much time teaching young boys how to shower.

In Joe's defense, there does seem to have been a bit of a power struggle at that time at Penn State.  The administration tried to take more control over the discipline of players.  They installed certain procedures which Paterno apparently followed, ever though Sandusky wasn't a player or coach by that time.

In any event, it is a sad ending to Paterno's life.  His reputation will be forever tarnished.  His many accomplishments will be overshadowed by the disgusting facts of this scandal, facts which will only get uglier as more is learned.
