I cringe anytime I read a Scout profile...

That says...

"Areas for Improvement - Intensity/Effort."

Very tough to fix that.  Technique, moves, power, explosion, etc., you can work on and improve much easier than somebody who doesn't have a motor.  Ed O thinks (wrongfully) he can motivate anyone, that's why he still calls the guy.  I don't know the kid but I look at that evaluation, look into his sleepy looking eyes and I think...perfect Bruin.  I'll take an undersized, lower ranked, no technique DL with wild eyes and a monster motor inside his body over this type of sleepy dude any day of the week.  Esp at the college level.

I also watch the videos of the kid and while I admit he does a lot of great looking stuff (looks powerful vs the smaller players and runs fast in a straight line), I cannot discout his upright caveman throw guys out of your way style that works great when you are facing OLs that are 6'0 230lbs, but not so great vs guys just as big or bigger than you (which he almost never sees).   You know they have an OL on his team that's 5'7, 200 lbs?  lol

He's a nice player.  If we had some extra rides to take a gamble I'd take it.   So I can't blame the Bruins for that.  Maybe you could give him some electro shock therapy, load him up with some amphetamines or something to put some life into him, i dunno.  Trojans don't have the rides right now imo to risk on players who play and walk around like they have chronic fatigue syndrome.  We need players with the lights already on who play with passion that would rather die than not give 100% every play.  No room for sleepy fockers right now.
