Things are not going to get better with the Mandaorty Seismic Regs. Things will only get worse. Only like 15% of facilities in the state are up to code. And at about $150-$300 mil per facility to get to code and the state ain't paying for it. hospitals are just going to close.
The new footprint for hospitals is going to be like the one they just built in SD County, near Scripps. A big 600 Bed place, a very NYC style hospital big places. The days of the 250 and less bed hospital are gone. These big Hosptials will be like walmarts, cheap, fast medicine, with care and quality being sacraficed to save money. the number of doctors will be cut in half probably more. PA's everywhere and non union nurses, mostly philippino nurses.
