Only specific I can add is that he had the blood clott after a long plane flight. A recent study confirmed that's a quarter of the population gets some color flow Doppler confirmed blood clots after long flights . Buy those travel socks , cheap insurance. These clots are rarely clinically significant. This is my guess what happened in this case. But since his clot moved and cause a symptomatic lung clot , everyone panicked . If he were my kid and there was no coagulopathy , I would let him play on daily aspirin and dvt precautions on flights. (compression socks , up and walk up and down the aisle every 45 minutes). I am sure pat Haden and other scum layers have their hands in this. sc
