A major factor in SC's downturn

was the hit it took in the one linebacking class. Teo going to ND, Burfict going to ASU, Telfort's heart problem, and Jarvis Jones going to Georgia after SC's doctors wouldn't clear him to play. With Gallipo not living up to expectations, the combined effect of that gapping hole at linebacker was a killer for SC's defense. Kiffin is fixing that problem and the SC D will return to its usual spot at the top of the Pac.
