Re: My only question, for either of you guys.....

I personally have no idea.
Just because its a huge lawsuit and every suit against the NCAA seems to drag on for YEARS ... I think it'll be quite a while before McNair starts cashing checks.
FWIW I don't think McNair or USC wins on appeal. The NCAA's appeal process is rigged and McNair's appeal makes a good point that it appears the NCAA has prejudiced itself as far as the appeal and that McNair (and by extension, USC) will have to look elsewhere for justice.
I hold zero hope for either appeal, NCAA just isn't going to care what USC says, in my view. The COI clearly ignored many similar arguments by USC in the first go-round. However credible we understand USC's claims to be, and all the holes in the NCAA's logic, they've set this thing up perfectly where as an institution the NCAA can essentially do what it wants and then dare someone to bring them to court.
In a perfect world USC gets the 2004 season back, bowl ban reduced to one season, and scholarship losses reduced to five a year for two years. Oh and all that petty stuff the NCAA included about disassociating with Bush, writing up the sanctions in the football media guide etc. gets eliminated.
