Paul Dee.....

.....is going to be put in a pickle here real soon, if he isn't already planning his escapae from his cush job with the NCAA. After the heat he brought on USC for "should have known....especially in the case of star athletes....", his good buddy Steve Spurrier is doing him no favors. Neither are any of the other SEC coaches. On the other side, the coach he went after hardest has a hell of a civil case in Todd McNair (aka McIdiot). Regardless of how I personally feel about McNair, like Tark and Neuheisal he has a hell of a case the NCAA will no doubt settle before it ever goes to trial.

In any case, imagine if Pete Carroll had said the following. Problem is, it was said this past week by Steve Spurrier, Paul's good buddy who also some how managed to slither out of any blame in the Tank Black case. Amazing really....

"...Steve Spurrier said school officials have asked players to move out of the Whitney Hotel and settle any outstanding bills with the hotel along Devine Street. NCAA investigators interviewed a number of players last week about their living arrangements at the Whitney, a hotel that features limousine service and has housed Spurrier and other (South Carolina) coaches in the past.

Spurrier said he was aware players were living at the hotel but "didn't know all the arrangements. But all of our guys are going to pay their bill and hopefully go live somewhere else," Spurrier said. "That's what we hope happens -- that they pay their bills up and go live somewhere else. That's about all I can say about it."

Unbelievable. USC just got torched for lack of compliance, and South Carolina has multiple players living in a nice hotel and the coaches/compliance department has no fawking idea of what the arrangements are?????? Spurrier said, "didn't know all of the arrangements".....and that in the end, he "hopes" the players leave the hotel and settle their bills. That basically means they now know some of the players, at least, were living there rent free. Wow, just wow....
