Well, if you haven't noticed

This team, that is starting to come together, and has been missing Chris Paul for the last 4 games is STILL in first place in the Pacific.  ANd they beat Miami while the Lakers got killed by the Heat.  Clips got beat last minute by Kevin Love, it's gonna happen.  They are a bit banged up with Paul and Butler down. Williams just got back, as did that Center who looks like a big ugly.

But yeah, they are stupid sometimes, more prone to the flash than the good play, but they are entertaining.  More than the plodding Lakers.

As to "they are the Clippers"  Well, let me help with some history.  "They are the 49ers....."  I remember when they sucked annually before Joe Montana.  "they are the Bucs/Saints"  Yep, most of my life both teams were horrendous.  I STILL can't get used to the Patriots being any good.  And what of the Minnesota Vikings and Bronos, and Dallas?  Teams who were "always" good.  Not in a long time for any.  Raiders too.  Oh, and in hoops?  The Miami Heat?  Come on.  Dallas?  Please.  The OKC THunder aka Seattle SuperSonics?  Bahahahahaha.  Times change.  Even the lowly Ted Turner put together a winner with the Braves, and the Angels have turned into the franchise the Dodgers were.  Jerry Jim begat Jim Buss.  Jim is not Jerry.  And meanwhile, Don Sterling may win by attrition.

Also, under the new cap rules, a team that had young talent like the Clippers, in a big market like LA with all that TV $ is poised to do really well.  Vinny Del Negro seems to be a good coach.  I dunno, I realize we've seen this before and LA has had one season moments where they actually finished above .500 so maybe it's a flasj in the pan.  I just think when you have Griffin, Jordan and Paul, you have something to work with and around.  I don't Butler is too old, maybe he is.  But they do have 3 very good young pieces.
