And yeah, at least Odom is athletic.  Gasol is just a pussy geek.  Odom goes to the hole and can handle the ball.  He's a better player than Gasol.  Can shoot too.Lamar's problem is he's a drug addict.  At the least, he's way too far into pot.

Gasol was a hood ornament.  And do we really not forget how man handled he was by the Celts and how he disappeared versus the Mavs?

Mc Roberts and Murphy hustle, and they are minimum wage guys.  For what they are being paid they deliver a solid effort and seem to contribue more than Steve Blake did last year, that's for sure,

And yes, if I am GM< Fisher 2 years ago would hgave slipped iinto a Ron Harper role and Farmer would have started.  Brown and Sasha both coul d have been solid to still ahve on the team.  Brown thus was a wasted acquisition.  Lakers have blown it over the years in letting guys walk.  You NEVER let someone walk.  In any sport.  Always get talent for them.  Trade them last minute if you must, but get something.  2nd round pick, get a body.  Get salary back.  Get a bag of chips.

I said 2 years ago it was a mistake getting rid of Ariza for Artest and I was right.  Suddenly the Lakers are getting old and aging fast.  Had they listened to me they would have a future transitional team in place of old guys Odom, Bryant and Gasol with younger players like Bynum, Sasha, and Farmar and Ariza.  Good mix and Bynum, Farmar and Ariza had potential to be impact players.  

LA not winning the title last year was a big surprise to many.  Not to me. The surprise to me was that they won it the year prior.  But they got a great match up in the final and avoided two teams who could have spelled trouble for them.
