The NBA lockout appears over. The Lakers will start against Chicago Bulls in Christmas.
With the Trojans losing at Minnesota, and not to be outdone, the cross-town Bruins started well but folded right up against Texas, it looks like the two Pac 12 entries from L.A. aren't going to do that well this season.
So it looks like the Lakers provide L.A.'s best chance for decent basketball this season.
