Boise State National Champs?

What a season. Cal opens as the favorite and closes strong with a convincing Holiday Bowl win over TT. USC opens with question marks and flies through the first half of the season, stumbles down the stretch and then pounds #3 Michigan in the Rose. UCLA takes away the BCS game from USC and them lays an egg in something called the Emerald Bowl. Dennis Erickson back in the PAC, Oregon licking wounds. Harris out at Stanford, Jim Harbaugh in. Recruiting in full swing. UW has a solid class, UCLA too, Cal recruiting well, USC rolling along. Mike Stoops anyone? Talk aobut it all inside.

Real and Make Believe

Albert Pujols has 23 HR"s in his first 46 games. The guy is the most feared slugger and overall best hitter in the game. Gets nothing but praise. Built like a truck. So why do people not suspect him of steroid use? Discuss it on the baseball board inside. Meanwhile, Barry Bonds slogs along, swinging for the fences, annoying people and teammates by the day. The Giants are in last place, Barry is batting around .220 and the Giants owner has made it clear Barry won't be back in SF next year for his run at Hank Aaron. I'd call odds of him catching Henry at 50-50 with his bad knees and "alarmingly" reduced production. Let's see, major investigation, everyone around him indicted or in jail for steroids and Barry's production suddenly goes int he tank. Makes you go "hmmmm" Oh, and he hit 715 and the world yawned.
